CHAPTER 4: AWAKENING AT SLAVE CAMP PART I

Yes, “slave camp” exists. Well, it’s more of a retreat than a camp, if you want to call it that. Based in Albany, NY, La Domaine Esemar tries to be something out of the “Story of O.” What looks like a typical home in the suburbs of Albany, has a community of people coming and going – local submissives, visiting Mistresses, a fully equipped basement dungeon and of course their decadent weekend parties. The commencement of those weekend parties was a Bacchanalian feast that would make even Bacchus blush. Indeed, the stars of those parties were never the scantily dressed slaves nor the richly latex-laden Mistresses, but rather the bottles of Chateauneuf du Pape that Master R cherished.

As a submissive to a Master, it was always researching opportunities to further training and education. It had watched the “Story of O” and found the idea of formal slave training imperative to the growth and intimacy of the M/s relationship. Master was pleased by its initiative and research. An email to Domaine Esemar and Master R, agreement of the fee, and it understood that it was time to learn the high protocol and rigorous training required to be a proper slave.

The Story of O in Albany, Not Roissy FR.

And so it began, on an ordinary early winter day in Albany. The setting was bucolic. The branches of treess were bashfully naked, while leaves and a thin coating of snow covered the grass. It didn’t know what to expect. Would it be something out of the classic film, it wanted to so badly to be the star of? A reality that had potential if it did proper slave training.

What the reality was in this small suburb of Albany, was a house, not a chateau. Though appearences were underwhelming, it still believed that the traning could unlock the opportunity to be owned. Opportunity – that word ripe with action, promise, and potential. To a submissive wanting to be owned, it was everything. An education of high protocols, cadence of desire, all of the things that vanilla relationships dismiss or overlook.

One Giant Leap in Power Exchange.

The setting aside, Master R and Mistress Colette laid the expectation that for these few days, it would be their slave. The first order of business? Being stripped naked and put in a Shibari chest harness. It was told that would be its “uniform.” It would be required to do all of its daily chores (housekeeping and serving) as well as sleeping in it. This was far from a restful and contemplative retreat. At the beginning of each day, Mistress Colette would change the rope. An experienced and desired Mistress, M. Colette was adept at the Japanese art of Shibari (rope bondage) and many local submissives came to visit her as she doled out sado-masochistic tasks for her, and ultimately their pleasures. It remembers a very strong man in his early 30’s who was adept at DIY, getting up on the roof of Domaine Esemar, naked in 30-degree weather to fix a few loose shingles. In the first few hours of its visit, what was undeniable – this kinky sanctuary was beloved by locals and foreigners alike.

For the outsider looking in, serving meals to the Master and Mistress while you ate from a dogbowl, did laundry outside in near-freezing temperatures, and paid to do all of the housework, in nothing but a rope harness, seems downright crazy. Yet, for a slave, this is an act of service, loyalty, and devotion to its Master. This was all it thought about it. It is impressive how far the mind can be pushed when you actually push it. The rigidity, structure, and discipline balances out what, for all intents and purposes are outlandish and laborious tasks expected to be performed in a quiet and pleasing manner. For the slave, it is about the submission. The acute understanding of surrender becomes clearer as it sacrifices creature comforts, both mentally and physically, yielding to the whims and desires of the Master it serves.

There is nothing purer than the revelation of surrender…
