TIGHTENED BLOSSOMS
Given equal circumstances, what is better a flower that remains tight in the petals, believing in longevity or the flower that blooms right away, knowing its petals may fall sooner?

The juxtaposition of a bloom. Strength and delicacy. Vulnerability. Love, nutrients and light. The simple that living things need to flourish. A tightened blossom is resistance. A push back to what is natural in nature. What is needed. Yet for some, the need for control reigns supreme. This false send of power is not only engrained in our psyche but more importantly, in our culture.
The lack of the Socratic method, creating a tension of ambivalence in daily life. The desire alone for optimism is not enough.
Late Bloomers Still Bloom.
Courage to break through and take a risk. Every decision is grounded in it and the ability to mitigate it. The opportunity presents itself to those willing to chance it. The chance is what is always present.
As Anais Nin said, ” …the risk to remain tight in the bud is more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
The blossom is where the true beauty lies.
